New Touchscreen to Assist People Living With Dementia

Technology provider Lumin has released a new touchscreen tablet - OneTouch - created specifically to assist people living with dementia, and those who care for them.

Designed with industry experts, the new device is being launched during Dementia Action Week (16-22 September). Lumin will be donating a proportion of proceeds from each OneTouch sold to Dementia Australia.

Lumin's OneTouch is a revolutionary touchscreen tablet tailored for those with early to mild stages of cognitive impairment. With just a single touch of the screen to access calls, messages, photos, favourite radio stations and more, OneTouch helps your loved one stay independent for longer. One press on the emergency button provides instant notification to families and immediate assistance at any time.

Via the free Supporters app, families can communicate directly to their loved one's OneTouch screen enabling them to add calendar entries, new family photos and alerts such as medication reminders. With automatically answered calls, the platform prevents any issue of 'busy lines' caused by a phone left off the hook.

The purpose-built hardware is always on and is remotely monitored for peace of mind. There is no need for passwords or WIFI, and your loved one is protected from unwanted callers and scams.
