What pendants and peripherals does Lumin offer?

Lumin offers a small range of pendants and peripherals that work with the CareHub. These extend what the CareHub can do without adding complexity — they're designed for the same older-adult audience and follow the same simplicity principles.
Lumin pendant
The Lumin pendant is a wearable button that triggers an emergency alert. It's:
- Worn on a lanyard, wristband, or clip — your choice
- Designed to work in the home and the garden — enough range to cover a typical dwelling and immediate outdoors
- Water-resistant — suitable for use in the bathroom, where many falls happen
- Battery-operated — with a long-life battery that Lumin monitors When pressed, the pendant triggers the same emergency alert as the CareHub's emergency button — routed per the household's plan (Supporters, monitoring centre, or village protocol). See the article on emergency response by plan. The Lumin pendant is included free on the Ease of Mind and Rest Assured plans. Additional pendants can be ordered through Lumin Support.
Other peripherals
Depending on the household's needs, Lumin can also configure:
- Wearable fall detectors — trigger alerts automatically on a detected fall
- Bluetooth speakers — for louder audio (see the Bluetooth article)
- Bluetooth headphones — for private listening
- Bluetooth keyboards — for easier typing
- External cameras — for households where the built-in CareHub camera placement isn't ideal
What Lumin doesn't supply
Lumin focuses on a small set of peripherals that are well-tested with the CareHub. We don't supply or support:
- Generic smart home devices (lights, thermostats) — those work with whatever home automation system you have, not Lumin
- Medical-grade devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose monitors) — those go through clinical care channels, not Lumin
- Anti-wander devices or GPS trackers — not part of Lumin's offering
Adding a peripheral
Contact Lumin Support to add a pendant or other peripheral. We'll arrange:
- Delivery (often with your initial CareHub setup or at a follow-up)
- Pairing with the CareHub (typically during a phone-supported setup)
- Testing to make sure it works in your environment
- Ongoing monitoring — Lumin sees the pendant's battery level and connectivity, and alerts the household before it becomes a problem
