Can we trial, pilot, or see a demonstration of Lumin?
Last updated 29 July 2026
Yes to both. How it works depends on whether you're an operator evaluating Lumin across a portfolio, or an individual or family considering it for one household.
For operators: a structured pilot
For a village, care provider, aged care operator, or hospital weighing Lumin across a larger portfolio, the recommended path is a structured pilot rather than an open-ended trial. A pilot deploys Lumin across a subset of residents or participants, with the aim of:
- Proving the model in your specific setting
- Building staff confidence before a wider rollout
- Generating real outcome data to support the broader decision Pilots are scoped in conversation — there isn't a fixed package, because a 20-dwelling independent living village and a multi-site home care provider need different things from a pilot.
Seeing a demonstration
Demonstrations are available either in person or remotely. If you'd like one arranged, email hello@mylumin.org.
How long deployment takes
Timelines vary by setting and scale, so anyone who quotes you a number without knowing your environment is guessing. Broadly: greenfield developments are planned in from the design stage, which is the smoothest path. Brownfield rollouts into an existing village are typically phased. You'll get a realistic timeline as part of the initial conversation. The separate article on village deployment covers what actually happens once a deployment starts.
For individuals and families
There isn't a formal trial program for single households. What there is instead:
- No lock-in contract, so you aren't committing for years up front — see the article on cancelling.
- Personal onboarding, with setup handled for you rather than left in a box.
- Refresher sessions, if the first attempt doesn't stick. See the articles on ordering a CareHub and on the available plans.
