How do I see and use the calendar on the CareHub?

The Calendar on the CareHub keeps track of personal events — birthdays, appointments, medication reminders — and, for residents in a village, community events too.

Opening the calendar

On the CareHub home screen, tap the Calendar tile.

What you'll see

The calendar shows you the current month or week. Two tabs at the top:

• My Calendar — your personal events: appointments, reminders, family birthdays, anything a Supporter has added for you.
• Community — for residents in a village or community setting, this tab shows shared events: village activities, group bookings, chapel services, social calendar items. Tap any day to see the events scheduled for that day. Tap an individual event to see the full details — time, location (if it's a village event), notes.

Adding events

Events can be added in a few ways:

• By a Supporter, through the Supporters App. This is the most common way. Supporters tap Calendar in their app, tap the plus button, and add an event. It appears on the CareHub straight away. The separate article on setting reminders covers this in detail.
• By village staff, through the Community Management Portal. Village events appear automatically in the Community tab. Residents can't add or remove village events themselves — that's the village's role.
• Direct on the CareHub — the CareHub user can also add their own personal events. Tap New Event in the Calendar, enter the title, date, and time. To turn an event into a reminder that pops up at the right moment, enable the Alarm at the preferred time.

Reminders the day of

The CareHub shows reminders on the day, at the time they're scheduled. A reminder pops up gently on the screen — it doesn't interrupt anything important. Tap to acknowledge. For medication reminders, if the reminder is missed, a Supporter receives a notification (this is part of the Supporter alert flow). See the separate article on setting reminders.

Booking community events

For residents in a village, some community events can be booked from the CareHub:

• Tap the Community tile (or the Community tab in the Calendar).
• Find the event under Recreation or Events & Bookings.
• Tap the event, then tap Book (or Reserve, depending on the village's setup).
• Confirm. Your booking is confirmed straight away and the event appears in your personal calendar.
