How do I listen to voicemail on the CareHub?

    Last updated 28 July 2026

The CareHub has voicemail, and it's set up automatically — there's nothing to configure. If a call comes in and isn't answered, or if it's declined, the caller can leave a voice message. The person on the CareHub can listen to voicemails any time.

    Listening to voicemail

Voicemails arrive in the Messages tile on the CareHub.

    1. On the CareHub home screen, look at the Messages tile. If there's a new voicemail, you'll see a small number in the top-right corner indicating unread items.
    2. Tap Messages.
    3. Find the voicemail in the message list — it'll appear differently from text messages (typically with a play icon or voice indicator).
    4. Tap Play voicemail to listen.
    5. The voicemail plays through the CareHub's speakers. You can adjust the volume using the volume buttons or the on-screen slider.

What you can do with a voicemail

    • Replay — tap play again to listen again
    • Call back — use the Phone tile to call the number that left the message
    • Save — voicemails are saved on the CareHub by default until manually deleted
    • Delete — tap the delete icon (typically a small bin or X) to remove a voicemail you no longer need

What if there's no voicemail tile or icon

Voicemail comes set up automatically on every CareHub — there's nothing to enable or configure. So if nothing's showing in the Messages tile, the most likely reason is simply that no voicemails have been left. If you're expecting messages that aren't appearing, contact Lumin Support and we'll check the device.

    Voicemail and Supporters

Voicemails left on the CareHub are visible to the CareHub user, not to Supporters. This follows the privacy boundary — see the privacy article.
