What's on Lumin's roadmap?

Lumin is actively evolving. This article gives a forward-looking view of what's on the roadmap — the major features and capabilities being built. It's an honest snapshot, not a marketing piece, and the dates are intentionally vague because software roadmaps move.
In active development
Voice activation. Hands-free use of the CareHub by speaking. Part of Lumin's broader upcoming AI capabilities, which are being designed for multilingual support beyond the CareHub's current English-only interface. Currently in pilot with a small set of users. See the voice activation article. Multi-resident Supporter access. A single Lumin Supporters App account that can support more than one CareHub user. Active development; no published launch date yet. AI-assisted in-CareHub support. Bringing AI-assisted support into the CareHub itself, so residents can ask questions and get help without needing a Supporter or Lumin Support. Currently being designed. Expanded clinical care extension. Deeper integration with aged care clinical workflows, beyond the current pilot deployments. In active development with several aged care partners.
In pilot
Hospital deployments. Small number of hospital pilots running. Each pilot informs the broader hospital offering. See the hospital article. Care professional deployments. Home care providers using Lumin for participant coordination. Multiple providers in pilot, with the model being refined as it scales.
Newer features released recently
Proactive Daily Wellbeing Checks. Add-on for Rest Assured plan, providing daily check-ins. See that article. Enhanced Lumin Connect integrations. New connectors for additional care management software platforms.
Things we're investigating
- Multilingual interface options beyond voice (CareHub UI translation)
- Enhanced fall detection through more sophisticated peripherals
- Family sentiment dashboards for understanding family engagement patterns over time
- AI photo curation for better slideshow experiences with large family photo collections These are exploratory — they may or may not become products.
How to influence the roadmap
We're a small team that listens. The roadmap is informed by:
- Customer feedback — through Lumin Support, refresher sessions, and direct conversations
- Village and care provider input — through deployment teams and account managers
- Champion observations — what residents are asking for in peer-to-peer help
- Pilot learnings — each pilot teaches us something we didn't know
- Industry developments — aged care reform, technology trends, partner feedback If you have ideas about what would make Lumin more useful, contact Lumin Support. We don't promise to build everything suggested, but we genuinely listen and the best ideas often come from our customers.
What we won't build
A few areas are deliberately outside Lumin's scope:
- General-purpose computing. Lumin won't become a tablet with everything on it.
- Clinical decision support. That's the domain of clinical systems, not Lumin.
- Surveillance capabilities. Lumin won't add hidden monitoring features regardless of who's asking.
- Advertising or paid feature unlocks. The CareHub experience stays clean.
- Anything that compromises resident dignity. The privacy boundary is structural, not optional.
